I was making a few postcards and thought I'd try this one toned. I think it works.
Location
Our shed, Wales.
Equipment Used
Bessaflex, 55mm f2 lens, tripod.
Exposure
1/15 @ f/2.8
Film & Developer
FP4+, Rodinal
Paper & Developer
Ilford Postcard Pearl finish, Ilford Multigrade 1+9, Sepia Toned with Fotospeed ST20 Toning kit.
Lens Filter
Grade 2.5
Much more effective than the straight print.
 
Very nice! Toning fits perfectly.
 
Thankyou all for the input. I tried this just sepia but it didn't feel right, so I changed the toner strength to get a more brown tone. I also changed the crop factor, from tight in on the bottles to slightly further out. I think this gives a little more context to the shot.
Here is the photo I made last year, which made me want to go back and make this detail shot.
 
Andy, like this one better. Small difference, but I think it works well. Like the tone in this print, as well. Nice texture and tonality. Best, tim
 
Big difference, I'd say. That's me sold on Fotospeed Sepia. I'd heard good reports of it but it's nice to see an example of what can be done. There'looks to be one very old bottle here that really compliments the sepia.
