8oz distilled water, room temp
8 1000mg vitamin c tablets, crushed
5 tsp washing soda
mix in that order
Start with 30 minutes developing time.
I used the cheapest vitamin C tablets I could find. Didn't have any "extra" stuff like rose hips. Just the acid and tableting material (I hope). I did a 5 minute pre-wash of the film in hopes that the floating particulate "crud" wouldn't get stuck in the emulsion. No problems.
The formula came from the Shutterbug article,http://www.shutterbug.com/techniques/film_processing/0903sb_coffee/
Wow great tones in that. i like how you can just make out the sunburst pattern on the box. Have you tried running the solution through a coffee filter before using to remove any flotsam?
I did fool with the coffee filter but unfortunately it got clogged up pretty quickly. So some got filtered out, the rest got dumped back into the bottle.
The other option would be to get powered ascorbic acid or ethryscorbic (spelling?) acid.
I didn't take the time to get this print and the Folgerol negative's print balanced but you can see the sunburst on the Folgerol negative too.
