Violettes Lock, Inlet

A view of Violette's Lock on the C&O canal. There are two locks here - on the left, is an inlet from the Potomac River to allow the canal to adjust the water levels in the canal during dry summer months. On the right is the actual canal, which ends as a (theoretically) navigable body here.
