Vintage Beetle, Florence Biennale

A vintage VW Beetle parked outside the Florence Biennale inside the Fortezza Basso. The Fortezza Basso is a 17th century era Medici fortress built to guard the northern approach to the city. While it still has military functions today, it also houses an exhibition center. The weekend I was in Florence, the Biennale was open so I went in to check it out. In the background left you can see an installation piece that was part of the Biennale - a field of green and blue balloons tied down.
