Interestingly this is the print with the least shadow detail of the three. I appreciate that the light conditions were different for the other two but I wonder if an orange filter hasn't made things worse rather than better due to its effect on darkening green foliage too much and possibly causing the meter to be fooled into underexposing. Some in camera meters if the filter is on the lens do not give quite as much exposure compensation as is required for orange and red filters whereas they do for yellow or at least the underexposure effect is much more limited. Nice shots for all three but this one doesn't have quite the same impactpentaxuser
Hi Pentaxuser, thanks for the comments, you're right about the orange filter, I changed this mid this year from orange to dark yellow and while they are almost the same there was enough of a difference for me to stick using yellow most of the time, I've yet to get a very understanding of what filter to use and where and when looking at the images here I'll always check and see what is being used, Paul
