part of a series i'm working on - glass and electricity.

another great find at halted specialties. the larger the bulbs are, the more expensive they are. but i could not pass this one up.

subject lit by 120w-s of novatron. background lit by 800w-s of speedotron. carl meyer 12" set at f/32, 1/100 sec. also shot on ilford hp5+, EI 200, f/64.

today i also picked up some glossy fiber paper, i think it would great for my prints of this series.

this is an RCA 4E27 8001, a beam power amplifier.

I like!! But what are you planning to do with them?? They would be great as a grid of images, I think..

my tentative plan is to make a series of 3 images. i think my favorites so far are the three i've uploaded. i want to print them all to 11x14. my first big prints are on ilford glossy fiber and i like the results. once i tweak the printing to my liking, i'll make several sets then work on mounting them. my dream is to actually sell a print or three :smile:

there's a book on peter behrens and the AEG (a german turn-of-the-century industrial firm) and his superb lamp design... very reminiscent, in terms of the hardware, and the photography. You may find further inspiration there.
