That's a beautiful photograph - taken I assume from a respectable distance. My buddy Tom was always grateful that when we were in Alaska, we met wildlife at the appropriate distance - Grizzly at nearly a mile away and Moose up close but tolerant. His sister and brother-in-law, not so lucky. They enjoyed a plane crash and close encounter with same prowling Grizzly, though he and the crash left them unhurt, they sure had stories to tell for it.
 
That's kinda close, isn't it ... :smile:
 
Nice view of this bear. I like the shallow DOF keeping our attention on the bear. I had numerous encounters with bears while in the state and can say a few were a bit too close by no fault of my own, it just happened.
