I like this angle better than the last. The out of focus leaves in the foreground in the other angled shot were kind of distracting. This is much nicer. May I suggest maybe cropping a bit from the bottom to make an almost square finished print? Just a thought. Nice photo!
I thought about that, but the geologic feature that starts on the rockface and continues into the pool is complementary to the rail above the waterfall. That was what I was shooting for at least.
While I enjoy the image as a square (cropping the top down to just above the rock on the left, and some off the bottom, it still works better for me as it is.
The angle of the rail and the counter angle of the deep shadow above it...combined with the diverging stream of water over the rocks...make for a very active composition.
