Ian if these three are a true reflection of MCC prints in ID-78 and scans often aren't exact replicas of prints, this is a combo with a great warm tone. Of the three this one especially reflects this lovely warmth. I had always thought of MCC as being relatively neutral so if I am correct then ID-78 must add a great warmth. They all look very good
I'm now using negative scans as I find I can match these better to the original prints. Over the years I've found that scanns of FB prints don't work well, however scans of RC prints are superb but it's not worth printing on RC paper just to scan. MCC is quite a warm-toned paper processed in Neutol WA or ID-78 but you need to keep dev times short often my times are 45 seconds to a minute, once you get past that then tones become more neutral and colder with long dev times. This goes for all Warm tone Bromo chloride/Chloro bromide papers. You can use a developer more dilute instead of the shorter times, this is in fact the principle of Lith printing. Also the Selenium toning shifts the tones towards a redder brown. Ian
