I like this. The subject is a bit mysterious, but so what? I think that the result of wondering about whether this is a construction site or the backs or benches only leads to the conclusion that it does not matter. The clever composition of horizontal and vertical lines with diagonal "accents" is what matters. Is the darkening along the top and along the bottom "natural" or did you burn them in a bit ? If you did it, it was a master stroke.

The top isn't burned, but the bottom is to match the top. It is an argueable point wether or not subject matters. Another way to look at it is just to ask how the subject is used. The one thing photography hasn't been able to rid its self of is the subject. If I can use a subject is a way that renders it invisable to the composition, then perhaps I may be doing something.
