This is quite humorous. It looks almost human, and I thnk you've placed it perfectly within the frame. I think the print may need a bit more contrast. You have a good eye for small details. Good luck with the new camera.
This is also an interesting image although it carries less interest then the street scene that you also posted. I think the reason is that it can be interperted as being about an identifiable "thing". I am sort of put off by photographs of identifiable "things" (translate that to I find them boring). The redeeming quality of this image is that this does also have the ability to be about "form" and when I accept it as such it carries much greater appeal to me.
