Getting back to some of the work I did before client stuff took over. I'm this image for the mood, the inkiness, and the ambiguity of what's going on. I recently realized that I miss the freedom I used to shoot with, not worrying about sharpness and other rules. Time to get back to my roots.
Excellent photograph, Cheryl. I love the way her gaze leads you straight to the top right corner. There is definately a sense of mystery about this yet it maintains a pleasant feeling. The arch of darkness leads the eye nicely back into the photograph after following her eyes. Very well done.
I admire those who are able to create such wonderful compositions on the fly. I usually take a at least 5 minutes to compose a photograph and often come up with nothing. Great work and I hope you continue to work outside of that which you do for clients. Best. Shawn
Thanks for the comments. I'm going to be putting up a new slideshow on my website of images like this one, and I feel motivated to shoot once again. I've been a little creatively dry recently due to the daily stress of the business side of things. Time to unchain my head.
