  1. Yes
This shot raises a lot of questions in my mind such as was this lady on her own ? How many were standing there listening to her in what appears to be concurrent rain or had it stopped was that?

Does the head gear indicate she may be of Palestinian or Middle East origin and a Muslim or might she be wearing a headscarf simply because of the rain?

It's why I find shots of people in some form of action interesting

Thanks

Thanks for your interest pentaxuser. This demonstration was held under the Duke of Wellington State in Princes Street. There was probably around a couple of hundred people taking part. I managed to isolate her for the photograph. She is a prominent activist in the Edinburgh Action For Palestine movement in the city. She is a health worker and is either Palestinian or of Palestinian descent. I would imagine she is a muslim. And yes it was a bit damp that morning.

Thanks for the reply. All your photos either tell interesting stories or excite in me enough interest to ask further questions and you can often supply the answers as in this case
