Regarding the dark lower legs - do you photograph in an enclosed space - high trees/hedges/buildings ?

Have you thought about a touch of fill in flash ? (1 stop less than your main exposure would be a good place to start)

@Eric Rose she was a little skinned up, she also had a huge bruise about 8" in diameter on her other leg....she's kind of a rough and tumble girl, she does crazy things like riding a bike from coast to coast by herself!

The one thing that makes this work for me is the tenuous connection she seems to have to the glass. Her feet and hands seem as if they aren't carrying her weight. I think it gives an odd floating effect. The hair hanging down adds to it. The tones on her back are really beautiful.

The reason why her legs are darker is because they are in shadow and angled away from the light (sky). Doesn't bother me because it is normal.

Thanks guys I appreciate the comments. The reason I mentioned the lower legs was it didn't look like normal skin in the shadows, it looked more like charcoal. It was actually worse than this and I dodged it out a little. Every once in a while film does something a little unexpected and this was one of those.
