WOW! The only thing I would like to see is a little detail in the foreground cow's eye. Really striking composition and nice tones.

Really nice. I'm guessing this was cropped because of the shape. Did you crop out the cow on the left?

My impression of the half-face crop is that it is generally used on (usually pretty female) models when the photographer trying to make the model look all mysterious and artsy. Doing it to a cow is a photographic statement all on its own!
