Unpreserved Rail Car

A rail car that sat untouched for far too many years.

Shot on a very bright and VERY hazy day. The last of a roll of HP5 in the camera. I played with this frame for more than an hour in the darkroom, trying to get a decent print from it. Alas, I think the contrast range too great for my meager skills!
Thoughts???

I'll probably reshoot with some PanF on a better day...

Split-grade print it if the contrast range is high. Being able to fog helps a lot. I'm not sure I like the sky though. Some dark clouds might improve.

I believe there is much potential in this subject, caught my eye instantly however like yourself, I think the print needs a bit more work. I can just feel the texture that must
be there. Of course if it has anything to do railroads you have my interest.

Thanks for posting.
