Univ. Of Texas Clock Tower

12x20 wet plate collodion on glass.

I had some serious light leakage issues with the tray I was using to sensitize my 12x20 plates. realized that the bright sunlight was intense and the tray wasn't as solidly light tight as I thought.
I claim I was inspired by Sally Mann.
Kinda liked the results though.

It looks like a turn of the (last) century illustration - 'it was a dark and stormy night' (and then a shot rang out). Serendipity is alive and well! Great result.

i love happy accidents like this - wabi-sabi ... !
the foreground and fogging is just beautiful.
i wish paper would fog like that

thanks all.
much appreciated.

You could title it, "After an Aggie Win" and people would assume it is a very old photograph. Bill Barber

thanks bill... I'll make you a print of it...
part of me thinks a bigass 24x40 might be pretty darn interesting.

Sheesh, this is f-ing cool. I missed it before... It's great when 'mistakes' turn into something brilliant.
