I think it is important to record these places, as rural life is constantly changing and we quickly forget what things were like.

Thanks. This scene is actually right in town! The country and the town are intimately connected. This is on Furnace street - named for the iron smelters that once stood there. Mayville had the first iron smelter in Wisconsin (1848), and is still known for metal fabrication.
