Another photograph of "Queen of Night" tulips that I made here in Holland during Tulip Time. Comments appreciated.

I do like the in focus / out of focus idea. But two other things strike me: I think the aspect ratio doesn't quite befit the slender stalks and flower. Also, because the minor blossom is out of focus, it calls the bokeh strongly into play, which I'm afraid is fairly distracting.

Interesting idea, to use a green filter, you got nice tonal separation from the background greens and the stalks were rendered quite brightly.
 
Keith: thank you for the thoughtful comments. Your comment about the apsect ratio spurred an idea. I posted another photograph of black tulips that fit a square frame better. I have another to print that I envision printing very tall and narrow. Perhaps I will crop this one into a vertical aspect and present the three images in that way: one extremely cropped, one more traditionally cropped, and one square. Thank you!
