umbrella for a sunny day

There is something very compelling about this shot. The contrast between the hard lines of all the concrete and building and the woman walking with her umbrella is great. Even the big bag she is carrying adds to the shot, makes her even more human compared to the rest of the environment she is in. Thanks for sharing, Don

I don't know why, but when I first saw this, I thought it was a Japanese woman with the umbrella. Must be her posture or way of walking. Good shot.

thanks, y'all. as to her being japanese...as you said, it could be her posture or way of walking, and one other thing that gives it away for me is the carrying of bags in the crook of her elbow! i'd never seen that with shopping bags until i came to japan. i think many japanese women carry bags like that so as to not rough up their hands! thanks to you both for looking and commenting!
