Two Boats

A trip along Hwy 90 netted these images. The distruction there was total. this area was on a lake and homes along here were on stilts 10-20 feet in the air. It was not high enough to escape Katrina's waters. Boast are still thrown about the road. These boats are huge shrimping boats, possibly still salvagable, save for the fact the have been sitting on the road for over a year.

That must make you feel so angry, Sam to see the complete lack of action. Is there an election coming up soon in that part of the country because there's a whole lot of politicians who should be fired! What a travesty. We need Oprah to sell your book on her show and have you as a guest to tell the world about this lack of progress. Whenever Katrina is mentioned in the news or T.V. they never seem to give the fact of this non action. I think I did see a show about a shyster contractor that was taking money from people to fix their Katrina ravaged homes but failing to complete the job and leaving them with just barely started renos. Pretty sad.
