Twisted Oaks

These beautiful oak woodland sits below Dunkery Beacon on Exmoor. The day had been overcast and then as we walked up though the woodland the same came out for a brief flourish and illuminated the leaves and ferns. It's one of those moments that will remain embedded in my memory for years to come.

These are both great. I just wish the scans were a little larger so we could appreciate them more closely.

This is a great shot, the fact that the oaks are twisted really works in its favour. Again I would prefer a larger image.
