The way sounds reverberate in the hollow, I'm afraid there were multiple blue streaks bouncing around after the incident. I'm quite surprised the shot came out as it did with a big glob of wet sand sitting on the front element- I didn't want to risk trying to remove it while it was still wet. Nevertheless, my 50mm lens now sports battle scars on the front element, but doesn't appear to suffer appreciably from them.
