Lovely. Are you aware of John Blakemore's nine year photographic study of tulips? I believe his book was "Stilled Gaze", very rare, but available through interlibrary loans. Nicely done.

Thanks for your comments! I'll do a search for the book; sounds interesting. As for the DOF, I often shoot with large apertures as I like the effect of a limited sharpness zone.
