6 months after 1st roll of film has lead me to a dedicated darkroom in my home. Can't believe how much I love this stuff. Trying a solarized print/sabbatier--can't get any agreement on the terms. I welcome your feedback.
Solarization, as I understand it, is done on the negative, such as Adams' Black Sun. The similar-appearing effect done in printing, although often mislabeled a solarization, is actually the Sabattier Effect.
Whatever the correct terminology, it works well for this image. I've dabbled with it myself and only found one image that it added anything to but this one certainly benefits.
Sabattier effect is caused by the sun over exposing the film too the point of reversal. Solarization is applying light to a still light sensitive material during development. keep trying it looks like you are heading in the right direction
