Wow, this is an amazing shot. By far one of the best IR I have ever seen. So often IR is used as a 'wow, thats cool' gimmik. But you managed to create an image that is both serene and intriging. Great job!
~Darinwc~ Thanks...I have always strived to use infrared to create a magical and dreamlike image, more to capture the feeling that a special place gives you, than reality itself. I'm not sure if that makes sense.
I find that, more often than not the distorted tones of HIE are gimmicky and I have always thought that it is littel more than a one trick pony, but your use of it has changed my mind. You seem to have a great control of it and use it to it's most artistic and creative effect. I love avebury, and this is a great shot of the area.
~Leon~ Thank you for your message. I am so pleased you feel the way do because for the type of interpretation I am looking for, I feel infrared is perfect I love Avebury too...I must revisit sometime! Thanks again.
~Annemarieke~ Thanks for your message! Hopefully you will enjoy the book...shall get it to you asap.
