Trees and Bridge

6x6cm silver chloride contact print

Another exposure from Christmas morning. It was a lovely day here in western Pennsylvania. I found this bridge in a section of the park I hadn't visited before. It was old, rusty and positioned at an angle so the view through the trusses was backed by the treeline instead of a view down Slippery Rock Creek. I think I'll be going back with the 8x10 and someone to spot cars.

I agree with John , there is tension between the natural ,frail, and the manufactured, strong .... very well composed ...

There are indeed some very special spatial relationships in this frame. Symmetry in the one, two, three upright components, and the railing is almost exactly on the bottom third. Nicely done, Shawn!

Thanks fellows. The print has a bit more contrast, especially local contrast than the scan. Nice to see the though translates anyway. Shawn
