Tree

This tree is in a school playground and the southern facing part of the trunk is where children sit, over the years they have worn the bark smooth.

Terrific, the tree has a flesh like quality to it and the tone lends an ominous air to it.

Thanks I'm going to go back and shoot with a tripod and slower film.
It is a fascinating tree on the north side there is a root that on one side has a lump of iron the other stone (flint) that the roots are growing over.
I haven't done it justice yet here is a link to the hurried shot:

Truly an amazing tree, and one 5 mins walk from my home, I'm getting to know the school caretaker, possibly he'll let me shoot it at a week-end, sans children!

The thumbnail doesn't look like much until you see the full screen. Excellent work. I bet the print looks superb.
