Final candidate for series whose working title is "Lake Trees."
Very long exposure (15 minutes) with tripod and cable release on a very, very cold night (near 0º F). I forgot to bring a watch so I had to count 1-missisippi all by myself. Did I mention how cold it was?
Negative scan from Nikon CS 9000.
Provia has an amazing straight-line exposure curve with little reciprocity failure or color shifting right on down to 1 or 2 minute exposures. After that, reciprocity failure still seems minimal, though some interesting color shifts do occur. The main light source in this image is light pollution from downtown Burlington Vermont reflecting over the point, off the low overcast clouds. The overall green tone definitely comes from a reciprocity color shift, but the actual light was pretty otherworldly. Other than standard tonal adjustments (Levels and Curves) this is how the image looked on film.
