Tree - St. John's

Another from my outing on saturday near some of the Painted Churches here in Texas.
This is St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ammansville, TX.
The tree in front had been "wintered" of all its leaves. I liked the compression of the slightly longer lens and emphasis it placed on the tree but also the church's architecture still being an obvious part of the composition.
Would love to hear any comments/critiques

thanks in advance.

Matt the comparsion between a church (faith) and a tree both needing to grow and spread its branches is well captured in your photo. But I wonder if a vertical shot might convey this better. I feel if the base of the tree could be shown, the idea of spreading out might be more apparent.
Of course all of this is dependent on if this was the message that you trying to convey or I could talking through my hat.

Cheers
Vincent
PS I still like your photo.

Matt, I really enjoy how the tree seems to be embracing the church. It's a very interesting view point, and I think the print quality with slightly warm tones is just gorgeous. A very interesting photograph!
