The exposure was challenging to work out. It's in situations like these the Pentax Digital Spot meter becomes extremely useful.

This is like the tree version of Frank Hurley's ice cave. Detail in the bark is so good that in a frame you'd be tempted to try peeling it off

Lovely. If I were to nitpick, I'd say that the slanted stree in the background doesn't work as well as the vertical ones.

Tom,

you are right I use one for my 4x5 to 8x20 but when I bought a hassey I wanted the 500 c/m because I would still use my pentex spot and it is basic so I keep with the same routine as my wood cameras. I bet the print really shows a glow about it. the scan"s usually loose that but this one hasn't.
