I like both of these. I especially like the way the vessel appears rock solid and stable, and the ocean is doing all the gyrating. The opposite of my experience on the water!

Mike c: The weather on this particular day was not too rough, I was down the back of the ship where the wash from the hull is quite dramatic at full speed. I have done these long exposures before (in digital) in incredibly rough weather and had great results. I just hold the tripod very firmly with my hand during the exposure. I've found that 1/2 second or there abouts is sufficient for a really nice image. Captures the drama of the water movement without making it too transparent.
