Worldwide project where we shoot the same camera in all seasons all over the world. Usually 25 to 30 people shoot and present their view of the world, this time with a suggestion of "Cornerstone". Camera travel time 1 year 9 months and 19 days.
This is my contribution to the "Cornerstone" theme portion of TC 6. My biggest mistake was not taking my time. I had this cornerstone in mind while waiting for the camera to arrive. The plan was to get to this spot as soon as the camera arrived, take the photo and mail it all on the same day. When I got to the location everything looked different. The cornerstone looked like it was refinished or even replaced. And I didn't remember the lamp post being so large.....I actually don't even remember the lamp post being there in the first place. Well, it was getting close to closing time for the post office so I photographed the scene and mailed it off. As I said before, I should have taken my time. Anyway, this church has been around for over 100 years and has an interesting history here in Ann Arbor. Have you noticed how a few churches have popped up in the "Corner Stones" Theme? This is lovely Marc.. the lamp post and it's shape serve to make the roughness of the stone stand out even more. It may have looked differently in your minds eye but I think it turned out pretty well despite your internal critic!
