Thanks. That's quite high. Instinctively I'd have guessed that at 1/60th the blur would have been minimal but this would have endangered the effect and I'd have guessed at maybe half that speed (i.e. 1/30th) was needed but he looks close and is at 90 degrees so that accounts for it
Do the math. If the racer moves 1.5 inches during the exposure, the exposure is about 1/60 second. If he moves 2 inches, the exposure is about 1/45 second. If he moves 3 inches, the exposure is about 1/30 second. Some race, as the train apparently isn't moving at all.
