Train at bridge

My other hobby. Model trains are fun too, and taking pictures of them is even more fun. Modeling a 'natural' scene is even more fun when done from scratch. The area covered is about 1 square foot. This is a 9mm scale model.

I used to like this thing when I was a kid. I also made those plastic models of tanks and robots to create scenes like this. I wanted to be able to photograph very realistically which was a big challenge to me back then (well still is).

It is another reality you can create and mold with your hand. It is just like photography to me. But, maybe, more tangible. With photographs, you can create another reality. But they never seem to be this tangible and very elusive. Sometimes too elusive, I even feel...

I would like to see the whole diorama when I go up to Rochester.

Very fun Ron, very apropo at Christmas. I don't hear of many kids getting trains for Christmas anymore. Seems a shame.
