One of a short series taken at the "New Hope Valley Railway" in New Hill, NC.
This is an all volunteer rail museum that buys, restores and then on certain days, mostly in the summer, is open to the public and gives rides for a small donation.
I had stopped in when they were closed and was warmly greeted and given permission to take all the photos I want.
I wish there were more places like this.
Extremely nice composition. The blocked up blacks works in the abstract environment, I think to accentuate the shape and texture of the wheel and suspension.
I find this a very satisfying photograph that's well printed. Nice work!
