I like the picture very much because of its simplicity. I wonder if some more symmetry would be good. The pattern of the tiles cannot be symmetric if the towel is put in the center, and obviously they were alligned in the frame. The towel on its rod may be arranged differently (more symmetric) but the pleats may be less beautiful then. The only thing which disturbs me are the spots on the wall in the top. Are they reflections on the wall? And I should mention that I like the exposure, high key but not too much.

Perfect! I would not change a thing. The subtle color shift on the tile and towel due to the light striking it is wonderful.

Isn't it funny how such a simple thing can be so beautiful? Wonderful picture, thank you for sharing it.

thanks for the comments, y'all.

@Heinz... i shot this without moving anything because it struck me so strongly upon seeing it. this was shot in bali, in an "open" bathroom (the roof only covered part of the room). the spots above the towel are bits of early morning sunlight (reflecting off something); however, as you point out, they didn't translate in the photograph as well as i'd hoped they would.
