Slyly witty.

There's a kind of optical illusion here which provides a surrealist look. Well it does for me and it works. She looks as if she is being held up at an angle by an invisible hand and for some reason he looks enormous beside her although he isn't.

What in fact is the top of his head looks like his shirt collar and I can imagine him being headless.

There's also an element, albeit in B&W, reminiscent of Jack Vettriano's painting of the "Singing Butler".

It works brilliantly for me.
