8x10 contact print.

I made this negative in my father's tool shed last week and printed it on Friday. My mother traced Dad's tools about 30 years ago. I am 27 years old, some have mantained their postion and some haven't. One even fancied itself a house... either way it means much to me as a breakthrough in seeing as well as being a "portrait" of my parents life together.

I have finally set my print prices(all Azo contact prints) $125 for an 8x10, $100 for a 4x10 and $75 for a 4x5 + shipping. Please contact me directly to purchase a print. All are mounted, overmatted and signed. Thanks for viewing my work. doc

Nicely seen. The pipe cutter on the top left has a strong diagonal line that extends from the corner which compliments the drill bit thingamajig on the right side, the cord on the bottom left corner, the central location of the small house - all of these elements contribute to the whole. Well done.

Thank you Scott and Jeffrey! I think it's a hack saw, but I did use it to cut the ABS pipe I used to develop this negative so it seems it is both :wink: . This was a carefully considered composition, when a reshoot means standing completely still for 10 minutes so as not to shake the floor you want to get it right the first time. Of course I didn't and this is the 3rd of 4 negatives I made to try and deal with the extreme contrast of the scene. The photograph was lit soley by two florecent lamps direcly overhead.
