First, I'm kinda thrilled the latest batch of trannies from this project came out nice...I've tended to overexpose 'em a bit. Shot this in B&W too, but haven't developed. I luv old tools and junk...
I appreciate the over all dark tone revealing the red and yellow spot. I am a little disturb by the foreground which I find bring not a lot to the image it self. I think the top of the table is nough as foreground. But may be if you print 2meter by 3 it want disturb any more ;-)
Thanks NZE, as I posted, my thought was a crop at bottom. After I get a decent scan and color match, I'll give it more thought. There's some lovely green hues in the bottom bench part that are lost in this. Regards, Matt
This is really good! You've managed the light well, especially with transparency film. It has a nice, warm feel of "old" to it. I like the bench and its textures, but would have to see a print to be sure what's going on. Very difficult to see on my monitor. Send me a 16 x 20 so I can see how it looks? tim
An excellent image. I would like it better if it were cropped from the top down to just above the lanterns, and from the bottom up to about 1/2 inch below the base of the cans.
Very interesting capture, and thanks for posting it!
I normally dislike color but this I really like. It work so well together. I also really like the series you are working on. Great stuff. I agree with your assessment of taking a bit off the bottom. Again great image...
