For this unusual shot, I happened to have a crew on the Saturn gantry about 200+ feet up when this Titan went up. They shot this one with missile row in the background.
In the foreground was a new Titan II gantry being readied for the first launch.
Nice to see this shot, indeed an unusual view, usually one sees just the one rocket going up in these kind of pictures. I never knew there were that many launch platforms in a row at Cape Canaveral.
But what are these things in the background? You say missiles, but they only look like missiles from comic books, not like real ones. Aren't these just fuel tanks or something, maybe just with a rocket engine for testing?? Or are the rockets hidden in these structures in the background?

are 9 launch complexes in this image. All 9 gantries and umbilcal towers/masts are all gone so
