Nice! I really like the shallow DOF and the overall graininess -- it all works!

This photo looks like a Japanese drawing of ocean waves and steep mountains with little people holding umbrellas in the rain,You have alot going there hpulley

Interesting interpratation. I just thought, 'I've never seen these on birch trees'. I need to keep watch.
In any case, I really like this photo.

fantastic - and I like mike's interpretation - the image definitely invites storytelling

Thanks everyone! Probably doesn't mean good things for my tree but it made for some great pictures. I printed a couple more and there are still more to go.

I love Japan but certainly didn't think of people walking on a yamamichi holding kasa. I like it though! Not taking too many mushrooms LOL

I'm glad you did! Online I struggle with this problem, making images that look good in a thumbnail but also good when viewed large. I like images with a lot of detail, a lot of texture but often that doesn't translate to something interesting in a thumbnail.

Really I suppose this is no different from a gallery where your picture has to look good from across the room AND it has to look good close up as well for someone to buy it.
