[tintype] Woman Portrait

160 years ago, in 1851, March Archer published a wet-plate collodion process description for the first time.
So I just made this portrait as dedication to his invention.

Calumet 8x10", Dallmeyer 3B
Exposure
6 seconds
Film & Developer
Wet-Plate Collodion
Nice plate! I think Archer would be proud. The sitter also did well holding that pose for six seconds.

Very nice. Did you have to use any bracing tools or stands? That looks as good and sharp as any of my 35mm's at 1/125th second.
