[tintype] Woman Portrait

160 years ago, in 1851, March Archer published a wet-plate collodion process description for the first time.
So I just made this portrait as dedication to his invention.
Equipment Used
Calumet 8x10", Dallmeyer 3B
Exposure
6 seconds

Wet-Plate Collodion
Nice plate! I think Archer would be proud. The sitter also did well holding that pose for six seconds.

Excellent... great to see you posting some plates again! :D

Very nice. Did you have to use any bracing tools or stands? That looks as good and sharp as any of my 35mm's at 1/125th second.

Wonderful!
