Which LED softbox system? Are you using one that offers warm light?

...the way he's peering over his spectacles is amusing.

What accounts for the somewhat narrow-seeming modeling of light on his face?

I borrowed a Chinese made hotshoe-mounted LED system...just tried it out at the store. Can't recall the brand - it's one you can adjust the warmth/colour temperature with by a dial, which is pretty handy.
It's about 6 inches by 4 inches.
