Surprise, surprise another foggy day in Maine. I love hiking and shooting in the fog but, can never quite seem to get my shots the way I want, or I should say the way I visualize them. This is the first one that really came together for me. Would be interested to hear you thoughts.
Fog is mysterious and elusive, and you will have to work long and hard to get it the way you want. But it looks like you will get it the way you want, and it will be worth it.
Thanks again jmcd I think the reason why I love the fog is the mysteriousness of it. I'll will be working a lot harder on my photography now. Life kinda hit home the last 4 or 5 months but, it's all back on track and I'm loving getting out shooting and printing now more than ever.
Well, if this was my shot, I would be pretty pleased with it. I would characterize it as a well done representation of foggy conditions over a still lake, very quiet, and the feel that you get waiting for the fog to burn off. And, the touch of black from what I assume is a submerged branch is a perfect counterpoint.
Thanks George. That's the tip of a submerged tree. Not at all sure how it got out there though as it's about 40 feet from the bank...LOL I couldn't quite get the exact angle I wanted on this though as there is so much undergrowth along the banks, my toes were just about in the water as is and was hold back a bush with my back. Anything for a shot right?
