Sweet composition, bill.
The peony has always seemed to me to have such delicate light emerging from them.
The background works very well here - i like the nice tone differentiated from subject.

i have tried for years to get a nice peony exposure. This year, we had so much wet weather that it was not possible to finally finish my project of 4 flower photographs on black background in square composition Peony, rose, rhododendron, and i have not settled on the 4th.
