This is a beautiful portrait with wonderful composition.
 
I too can't figure out what was meant by the comment. Perhaps a reference to another celestial body?
Whatever the meaning might be, the mystery in the image is more compelling.
the foster mother of Zeus apparently - and a moon... so you're right
 
Amalthea is a moon of Jupiter or a foster mother of Zeus, (mixing Pantheons a bit) but I don't get the actual reference.


I like to tones and the effect of the frosted glass. Its effective.
And a paper negative, no less - I'd be happy to do this on film!
