I love these toned B&W photos that mimic real skin tone. There's certainly an art to it and this is well done.

Great shot. Her nakedness implies it's warm but the background looks very cold, it's a good contrast. Interesting composition as well. Is this a neg scan or a pront scan?

@vinny it may have been the model's decision but I think FHM and Maxim really established the popularity of the "handbra". It's naked but doesn't require being put on the top shelf where a piece of black plastic obscures all but the name of the magazine ;-)

Seriously, I think cro-magnon women started it. It's to tease, to be naked, yet shy. Plausible deniability: "I just got out of the shower and, sans towel, came 40 feet to the door for you, but no peeking." Keeps you wanting more and to look around and between her fingers to see if anything jumps out to bite you.

I must sound like a sexist ass, but what the hey, I'm prepared for the beating that will now ensue.

So that I understand the rules here: It is ok to scan a piece of film here and manipulate it in photoshop by toning and or coloring and post it in the gallery here without ever making an actual print?

Robert, some films, when scanned, have a color cast like this. Unless the person doing the scanning desaturates the scan digitally, this is what it will look like. Obviously I can't tell you for certain whether that's the case with this image, it certainly is possible.

It's entirely plausible that different tones can come from differing densities, etc.

That said, I'm not sure how I feel about the coy pose, either.

I don't wish to take away from the image - I like it and overall it's very well done (composition, lighting) in my view.

Nicely done for composition and general mood. I like this a lot!

Re: Color - the general rule is that a neg scan should represent how a final print created in the darkroom would look.
Regardless it's a fantastic photograph.
