The U.S. Army

Ok so I didnt shoot this but I did buy this negative from an antique store and I have a love for it. its actually something ive printed on 20x24" fiber and have in my house. there was a peice of paper which was bought with it which claims it to be "granddad and his painted jacket"

Apart form this I don't know the date, the location or anything. but it has its story anyway.

Wow. I'm sure an expert in military history could date it for you based on the clothing and tent styles.

Its cold wherever it is the tents have fire places /chimneys and the ground is snow covered. It is a wartime image but it doesn't look like they are somewhere dangerous looks just like a camping trip. I wonder if these soldiers got lucky and got to go on a winter holiday? it must have been fun if the man had time to paint cool artwork on his jacket.
